A Rabbi, a master of Kabbalah, is reading a scroll of this holy scripture.

The word Kabbalah stands for a collection of teachings that represent the inner aspects of Hebrew religion – like Sufism for Islam – and that constitute its oral Tradition. The Kabbalah is the soul of Judaism, its contemplative and mystic facet, and it speaks about the ultimate experience of spiritual intimacy between God and self.

This tradition is based on the search for the hidden meanings of holy scriptures, namely the Hebrew Bible, by means of various instruments, such as the explanation of the sense of every single letter, as each letter is a symbol conveying a message; the written text thus becomes a direct and powerful way to reach the divine.
